Through music, production and their business—Official Bizness Ent, LLC—San Francisco based duo M-A (Money Alwayz) and D.E.O. (Doing Everything Official), collectively known as EVENODDS have had their finger on the pulse of independent west coast hip-hop for over a decade. With uncompromising lyrics and infectious music, they have provided a sound that fans and critics alike can appreciate. Hailing from Fillmore and Geneva Tower Projects, hood griots, D.E.O. and M-A have mastered the art of speaking to their intended audience while also appealing to hardcore hip-hop listeners. The duo formed a friendship in middle school, bonded by their mutual love for music. EVENODDS combined complementary opposites into one group. Now 14 years later, the young veterans have garnered nationwide airplay, received hundreds of thousands of YouTube views, wrote, recorded, and mastered seven albums/mixtapes of their own and over 100 albums for other artists. Founded in 1999, Official Bizness Entertainment LLC remains fully independent and has launched the careers of several California based artists. They have also produced or written for several notable artists including Damian Marley, IAMSU, DJ Kay Slay, Problem, Freeway, Martin Luther, R.O.D. and more. The success from those albums enabled the group to introduce the video for “Get Money All Day,” receiving over 4 million on WorldStarHipHop.com. A video that Revolt TV’s Tuma Basa called “one of the best west coast videos of that year.” In summer of 2014 EVENODDS released their latest and most complete album yet in No Days Off. The duo offered the 12-track project for free as a display of appreciation to their fans. There will be a video released for every track on the album throughout 2014, kicking off with the Erk Tha Jerk and R.O.D. assisted single “Cool.” DJ’s, tastemakers and fans are praising the release as one of the best independent projects to come out of Cali this year.
