Peter is a fantastic storyteller, it took his show to a deeper level. The countdown to the show had a "Manual Clock". It was a video of someone painting the minute hand, erasing and re-painting as the time changes. Very cool.

Great show. However, what I just don’t understand is why so many people feel like they have to talk loudly through the entire blasted show. We had two chatty women a few rows above us and two drunk guys a few rows below us. I don’t get it. People kept giving them “ a look” but obviously they were too oblivious to their surroundings. Finally someone got aggravated enough to tell the women to knock it off! Listen, if you find it necessary to talk during a concert, please leave! Those four individuals are 100% pure turdheads! Shut the hell up people and watch the show!

We were "warned" that PG was all about playing his new music with only a few old songs mixed into the set. Honestly, we think his new music is brilliant and really enjoyed the show. Of course I wish he had played a few more old school songs, but it is what it is. PG's voice is still fantastic, the lights and stage set up were creative and the band was equally as impressive. The downfall of the night was the fact that we were literally the only people who wanted stand up during the new songs. In fact, we were yelled at with one attendee telling us "this isn't a Garth Brooks show". I have no idea what that even means... Because PG's presence was so incredible, I've giving his show 5 stars regardless of the lame concert goers who opted to stay seated for 80% of the show. (FYI- I'm 54, so even in my middle years of life, I wanted to get my groove on. I'm not a 20 year old who needed to stand to burn energy).

About Peter Gabriel

Peter Gabriel is an internationally-famous musician and Third World activist, and was the original lead singer with Genesis. A major player in the staging of the African segment of Live 8 in the early 00s, he is not only known for his Eastern and African-influenced music, but also for several groundbreaking music videos (most notably Sledgehammer, his highest-charting release on both sides of the Atlantic).

After leaving Genesis, Peter Gabriel began to experiment with various elements of world music as the underpinning for his dense, poetic lyrics. In addition to a series of successful song-oriented albums Peter Gabriel 1,2,3,4 (aka Car, Scratch, Melt, Security) he didn't really hit the commercial high until 1986 with his now seminal album So and its slightly less successful counterpart Us. The last studio album from Gabriel was 2002's Up. He has also composed and recorded soundtracks for films as diverse as Birdy (which contained re-purposed snippets of his studio albums to date), The Last Temptation of Christ, and Rabbit Proof Fence. He also sang the Randy Newman composed title song to Babe: Pig in the City called That'll Do.

He created one of the more innovative videos of its time, for the song Sledgehammer, with the then fledgling Aardman Animations studio.

He was also instrumental in founding the long-running festival organization WOMAD (World Of Music Art and Dance), and participated in the UK millennium celebration, for which he wrote the musical OVO. The recording studio he built, Real World, and the record label it spawned, have brought many artists from around the world to the attention of Western ears.

Rumors of reunion with his former band have persisted, with conflicting information that changes almost daily, although he has confirmed he will not play a part in Genesis' reunion tour.
