As always with these folks it was a wonderful show. They create such great songs and perform them so well. It was a warm night, outdoors, great loving crowd. Great sound, which is a trademark of The Butchart Gardens.

Amazing homegrown talent in a comfortable and intimate setting. As Pharis noted, ‘It’s like being at a house party, in the best possible way’. We felt privileged to get up close and personal with such skilled musicians.

About Pharis & Jason Romero
Pharis and Jason are a sentimental anchoring, and the perfect antidote to this sped-up life. Some scratchy old records and a custom banjo led to their meeting in 2007, and they quickly knew they were in for the long haul. They've since released seven records, toured all over, won four Juno awards and multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards, and performed on A Prairie Home Companion and CBC's The Vinyl Cafe.
They write songs about life and people in a tiny town, with a powerful dose of the early country and folk they so dearly love. They've got two kids, a big garden, and they create beautiful boutique banjos. They're also passionate teachers and folk music lovers.
