Railslide

Railslide is Atlanta Bluesy Skate Punk. Founded by Frontman/Guitarist Jake Handley and Bassist Bill Batty, the former high school bandmates bring you the angst of College Punk paired with the sensibility of 60's Rock N Roll. Having been properly immersed in Thrasher culture, these grassroots visionaries seek to push the limits of Rock N Roll and demolish the obstructing social barriers put forth by the Man. With their dirty bass lines, blistering guitar riffs and dangerously catchy hooks, they have managed to craft a sound that is meaner than the unforgiving pavement.

The Power Trio's electrifying self-titled single was recorded at The Rock Shop and East Atlanta Recording Studios; Produced by Willis Corley, Darrick Atwater, Sean McPherson, and featuring renowned Session Drummer Darren Dodd. The single encompasses the trials of the daily grind in a society run by the Man. The line, “day after day after day after day…” eludes to the monotony of the repetitive daily routine, while the hook, “push to the shove to the bitchslap catch” depicts forward motion with minor setbacks through the imagery of a skater. The song continues to climb the metaphorical hill until it reaches its peak and barrels to a crash and burn style finish.
