Cartel Twins

Cartel Twins have been making splashes in NYC dance music for over a decade. At the ripe age of 12, the twins learned and carefully mastered the unique art of turntablism on a pair of Technic SL-1210MK2's. For the Brooklyn-bred, Coney Island raised duo, that was just the beginning. Gabriel & Samuel Volodarsky then threw their first party at just 17 years old — the rest was history. Their roots stem back to Odessa, Ukraine [Soviet Russia], bringing an eclectic sound and way of thinking to the table for these first generation, American artists. These twins regularly play for the hottest dance floors in the big apple such as Cielo, Output, Analog and beyond. Along the way they have supported acts like Juan Atkins, Monoloc and Robert Dietz to name a few. Their music is a staple to the NYC underground setting and is followed anywhere from Electric Zoo [2016] onto their latest festival booking at Mysteryland USA 2017. Their presence speaks for itself — between their weekly podcast which airs one hour of carefully curated new music they've never played before and hits over 2k plays on SoundCloud per week, their Sunday School Sessions mix that has over 11k plays and their massive social media existence.
