The inception of JASONxVOORHEES spawned from the mind of drummer Rikk Cavin of They Feed At Night. He wanted to create a project where straight edge & horror themes could co-exist. Inspired heavily by the Straight Edge lifestyle & horror content whether its horror films or simply symbollic horror lyrics about events that have affected our personal lives. The first practice was held in 2014 where Rikk & vocalist Callen began work on the very first JxV jXv track ever composed. "Immortality Rates". Then came the challenge of finding a full & committed line up of musicians that had a passion for the vision that was jasonXvoorhees. Then finally in the summer of 2015, the band finally got off of the ground to become the band that it is today. JxV then began to write for their debut full length & in the process got offered their first show which took place in August 2015 at the legendary SOMA. With 2015 spiraling down to its conclusion, the band was able to complete the recording of their debut LP which was released May 13th 2016. What started out as a intended studio project, has turned into something very special for the members of JxV. Although it is something they did not expect they are ready to spread the horror!
