In some ways they were first to make psychrock evolve to metal. Surely they were first to wear corpse paint. With their bizarre lyrics, and amazing stage performance they caught the eye of many psychrock fans in the sixties. But not nearly enough to gain fame like Jethro Tull or Syd Barrett, though they are surely as talented. Musically and Lyrically.
So time to listen beyond 'I am the God of Hell Fire' and take a trip with the Crazy World of Arthur Brown...
