About The Bunny Gang
The Bunny Gang is stepping into 2017 with a new batch of songs and the same fervent energy and inspiring sound that has made them an explosive act since their start in 2009.
On the tide of the Bunny Gang’s dub-inflected, punk rock rhythms rides an upbeat reggae sound pumping with heavy bass, drums, organ, trombone and hard-edged guitar, with lyrics that stare down global issues, political turmoil and social concerns while exploring parts of bandmembers’ own lives.
With their self-proclaimed “Revolution Rocksteady” sound, the Bunny Gang carries on a lineage of rebel music that runs from Trenchtown through 1977 London and onto the stage of their incendiary live shows, where Nathen Maxwell brings the same passion he exudes as bass player in Flogging Molly when he takes center stage as The Bunny Gang’s frontman. He is joined by longtime bandmates Kyle Hernandez on bass and keyboardist Levi Garrett. Seasoned ska all-stars Keith Larsen on trombone and drummer Nick Dolan came on board with guitarist Brad Stroz to round out the line-up.
With two full-length albums to their credit, and fresh tracks in the works, the Denver-based Bunny Gang has toured the states and internationally with a simple mission to share their music, connect with their fans and bring a celebration of life that endures long after the show is over.
They will be on a U.S. tour with Less Than Jake and Pepper beginning in February, culminating with performances on the Salty Dog Cruise in the Bahamas over St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
