Post Street Rhythm Peddlers

The Post Street Rhythm Peddlers from Santa Cruz, CA evoke the sound of the epic party times of 1929. This distinctively high-energy crew lures their audience back in time through the Southern boulevards into a world of sinnin', salvation, and bathtub gin, revisiting a place where the hardships of life are cause for a high-spirited musical celebration. With piano, banjo, drums, bass, a combo of trumpet, clarinet, trombone, violin, and sassy female vocals at the helm, The Post Street Rhythm Peddlers bring a fresh twist to the genres of 1920's/30's New Orleans Prohibition era Jazz, Barrelhouse, Dixieland, and Old-Time by incorporating modernized themes into their lyrics and a small but present jamband component to their music. The Post Street Rhythm Peddlers have nearly sold out their very first two shows and hope to complete their first recording by years end.

Band members are an all-star cast coming from diverse musical backgrounds and local projects such as Flor De Cana, Shady Groove, Deep Ellum, Samba Stilt Circus, China Cats, McCoy Tyler Band, Eve of Eden, Channel One, and more.
