Ethyl, otherwise known as Hertfordshire DJ and producer Tim Hopgood, has produced music for Sudden Drop, Fear of Flying, secretsundaze, ManMakeMusic, Appian Sounds, Praterei, Tsuba, Quintessentials and Cecille, among others. A serious record collector - an obsession that predates the current vinyl hype - Ethyl's DJ sets mix old and new music with a straightforward focus on the needs of the dance floor. It's this combination that has confirmed him as a regular guest at respected parties and clubs such as Freerotation Festival, secretsundaze and Fabric to name a few. His current productions and DJ sets weave effortlessly between house and techno, and sit comfortably somewhere between the two. 2015 will see Ethyl, alongside long-time studio partner and friend Flori, launch their own imprint E&F Records as well as continue their regular radio show on Leeds based KMAH Radio. ethylmusic@gmail.com
