About austin brown
Originally born and raised in Tifton, Austin's South Georgia roots have followed him everywhere.
After growing up with his father in the southern gospel community along with his mother in church, it is no surprise how this musical heritage shaped his life and infused him with an ear for harmony and a penchant for all-things singing.
In the fall of 2000, Austin moved with his father to Milledgeville, Georgia where he attended Baldwin High School. His senior year after the suggestion of his choral teacher, he spearheaded and directed his high school's first ever placing competitive male quartet; achieving a 2nd place state-victory in Georgia's most competitive 4AAAA division. The same year he also secured an overall state championship as a soloist coming on the heels of many staring roles in his school's and communities musical productions. So naturally, he decided to pursue music further.
He attended Oklahoma City University on a full-tuition scholarship majoring in Music Theatre. The training he encountered there, as well as the friends he made would prove invaluable to his future aspirations. He further developed his overall knowledge as a musician, acapella enthusiast, arranger, and director while growing in his vocal and acting artisanship. He also found his personal niche as a songwriter, collaborating often with a few of his closest peers.
Since college Austin's career as a vocalist and entertainer has flourished. He has toured the world extensively on cruise ships as a featured singer with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. He has spent time with the hallowed group, The Voices of Liberty at Disney World's Epcot in Orlando Florida. He spent a season in Branson at the Silver Dollar City.
Currently he is touring throughout the U.S. with Home Free Vocal Band while continuing to hone his craft in all ways.
