About Bright Lights Apart
Bright Lights Apart started making music in 2014 basicly as a solo project by Miles.t. After recording the first demo he set up a complete line up for playing live and he started the collaboration with Slug for the electronic arrangements.
The album As Everything Falls Apart, dated 2016, is the result of such collaboration. A combination of rock alternative melted with typical electronics arrangements and samples. Unfortunately those line up didn't last long but before splitting up the the band released the single A World Set on Fire.
Post Utopia Soundscapes released in 2019 it's a portrait of a particular moment for the band with a new line up without a real drummer and with the new guitarist Dave. The band changes its songwriting and started to produce the songs acting like the electronic producers programming beats, using samples and layering different levels of sounds. The result is darker sound full of digital distortion.
The years 2020, 2021 obviously are a period of hiatus for the band which return however releasing new music in spring 2022 with the single The Apologies List. The electronics sounds are still there but the analogical side is somehow more rough not over produced with a more natural impact. In order to enhance this aspect the band returns to play with a real drummer thanks to the entrance of Gioia JB.
The new single Fooled is released in July 2022
