Uncle Sugar

Uncle Sugar plays American music, from Blues to R&B, Roots, Country Blues and original music. The band is made up of some of Atlanta’s well known musicians; Ross Pead, Jon Schwenke, Eddie Tigner, Larry Griffith, and Stephen Talkovich. Uncle Sugar plays together every Sunday night at Northside Tavern in Atlanta, Ga. Ross Pead is the legendary slideman, singer and songwriter from Waycross, Ga. Eddie Tigner is Mr. Route 66, legendary piano player and vocalist extraordinaire. Eddie played with the Ink Spots for over 30 years and tours the world with the Music Maker Revue. Larry Griffith is a multi talented singer, songwriter, guitarist and percussionist and has played with artists like Sean Costello, Taj Mahal, Susan Tedeschi, Big Bill Morganfield and many others is his career. Jon Schwenke, bass player and vocalist is from NY and has played w/ Mudcat, Delta Moon, Cootie Stark, Charlie Musselwhite and other well known artists. Stephen Talkovich, guitar, has hosted the Sunday night music at Northside Tavern for 20 years and has played with Sean Costello, Bill Sheffield, Heaven Davis, Bo Weevil, Donnie McCormick, Nathan Nelson and many other Blues and original artists. Together they enjoy the opportunity to play music every week, besides being a collection of fine musicians they are also friends who love playing music for their audience and are often called one of the best bands in Atlanta.
