Heart By Heart

In 2013, bassist Steve Fossen and drummer Michael Derosier were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as original members of Heart. That 70's-era lineup brought to the world the massive radio hits Magic Man, Crazy On You, Dreamboat Annie, Barracuda, Kick It Out, Heartless, Straight On, Dog & Butterfly, Even It Up and much more.

Now Fossen and Derosier are back together with HEART BY HEART, a band featuring powerhouse vocalist Somar Macek, multi-talented guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Lizzy Daymont, and veteran touring guitarist Chad Quist. Honoring the magic and power of the music of Heart, this incredible lineup considers it their responsibility to bring the songs to the stage in their original form. According to Fossen, “We don’t see it as our task to modify or update these classic tunes that Heart fans love and have listened to all these years.” After every show, fans express their appreciation for HEART BY HEART's ability to bring back the memories by playing the songs as written and recorded. Having Mike and Steve on stage gives HEART BY HEART an authenticity no mere Heart Tribute can match.

> STEVE FOSSEN is a founding member and original bassist for Heart. His work on the albums "Dreamboat Annie," "Little Queen," "Magazine," "Dog & Butterfly," "Bebe le Strange," as well as several greatest hits and compilations, has been a staple of radio since their releases, selling tens of millions of copies.

> SOMAR MACEK, renowned Northwest vocalist, has gained a reputation for delivering powerful, moving renditions of every song she sings. She and Fossen joined forces in 2009 to become what they call "Heart By Heart," captivating audiences every time they perform. Together, they created their own vocal and electric bass versions of the classic Heart hits. Soon after, they added more musicians to form the band now touring the country playing the legendary music of Heart.

> LIZZY DAYMONT, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, is most known as an in-demand bassist of all styles. She has spent over two decades playing the Northwest club, festival and casino circuit with a huge variety of original and cover bands.

> MICHAEL DEROSIER, joined Heart during the recording of Heart's first album "Dreamboat Annie", and is known for having one of the heaviest, most distinctive sounds and quickest feet behind the drums. Derosier is celebrated for his work on classic Heart hits such as Barracuda, Mistral Wind, and Straight On, among many others. Heart has over 20 Top 40 singles, sold over 30 million albums, and is one of the first MTV video bands, having been one of the first to shoot videos as early as 1980, in which Derosier appears.

> CHAD QUIST From the Bay Area, long time Seattleite and more recently residing in LA, Chad Quist is a thirty year full time professional of the west coast music scene. Touring guy, session guitar player, producer, engineer, mixer, vocalist and transcriber are some of the gigs Chad might have in a given week.
