Bio: DJ Rocko™ Phoenix, AZ / Los Angeles, CA/ Dallas, TX Originally born in Los Angeles, CA, DJ Rocko has been spinnin’ for over 17 years. Rocko jumped onto the turntables at the age of 16, where he could finally fulfill the passion he had for deejaying since the young age of 10. Growing up in Los Angeles, Rocko was musically exposed and inspired at an early age by his singer/song writer Stepfather. The intertwined sounds of Richard Vission, the Baka Boyz, and the native west coast rap that hit the Los Angeles streets, immersed him in the vibrant world of music. Taken under the wing by one his mentors, DJ Frequency, DJ Rocko expanded his talent by practicing countless hours and educating his musical ears. In the last 17 years Rocko has been honing his DJ skills by performing at numerous events, clubs, and parties and gaining various residencies throughout the valley & Dallas/Ft Worth TX where he now resides. The ability to adapt to a crowd and having a vast knowledge of music along with the combination of his versatile style and unique skills makes him Arizona & Texas' best kept secret. Rocko does 150 shows a year & with each passing year that number continues to grow. DJ Rocko was picked up by 95.1 Latino Vibe in Phoenix, Arizona where he has an established mix show. Prior to his career with Vibe, Rocko was part of the group of DJs that made up the “power mixers” of what is now Power 98.3. Rocko was also sought after by the New Jersey based radio station, Mix1620am where for a little over a year he had one of the highest rated House music mix shows. With his diverse taste of music, DJ Rocko mixes everything from House, Top 40, Hip-Hop, to Latin genres. This kid does it all keeping the crowd hype and keeps them guessing as to what his creative mind will let loose on the music lovers. And within the last 2 & 1/2 years Rocko has ventured into the relm of video djing/Vjing and has began editing music video and has been releasing them on various website for video djs all over the globe to play. Dj Rocko has begun getting into the music production game as well working on a few remixes that will be released soon. As you can see Rocko is slowly becoming a renaissance man of sorts in the dj world.
