Nyla

With a unique name and a sound to match, Nyla is the true definition of a Do-It-Yourself artist. From writing and producing her own music, to directing and editing her videos, the Los Angeles native is creating a world right before our very eyes. Nyla was introduced to her first musical instrument, the piano, at the age of 4. She dedicated most of her early years of playing to learning intricate classical pieces. When she wasn’t learning a new song on the piano, she was singing in her room to freshly purchased Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, India Arie and Nelly Furtado CD’s. These artists had a large influence on her stylistically, especially during her freshman year of high school when she began writing songs of her own. Fast forward to now, Nyla has completely immersed herself in her art as a musician and a performer. Nyla seeks to inspire others with her music, always relaying a message of positivity. Nyla has created a sound that is uniquely hers through her use of rhythmic melody and flow, sultry vocals and harmonies. Surprising the listener has always been the goal.
