Furs & Masks

January 2016 saw the loss of the unsurpassable David Bowie. After some necessary mourning and many an album playback, front man L. was asked to perform some of the late, great rock god's songs at a local tribute show. Wanting to do his hero the justice he deserved he hastily assembled his brother on bass and an old friend on drums, who'd just moved back into town. With time against them the show went down a storm and friends spurred them on to form a real group. L. had been sitting on a hot batch of catchy ass tunes so lept at the opprtunity to let them loose on the local music scene. Since that show in February they've played a bunch of successful shows and are capping off the year with a four date mini-tour of London, a weekly residency at The Crown & Treaty in Uxbridge and a single lauch through RYP Recordings on 30th December. After the calamity that was 2016, next year is looking bright, at least for Furs & Masks.
