Ocean Disco

Ocean Disco is the backing band for artist Jack Hinson. The band started out playing in the streets of New Orleans, progressing quickly to the local bar scene, playing 6 nights a week on Frenchmen and Bourbon Street at historic venues like Old Point Bar and Tipitinas, playing jazz, funk, second lines, and blues, with their originals having an electronica twist. The band's deep roots spring from all the New Orleans classics of legends like Louis Armstrong, Allen Toussaint, to The Meters to Herbie Hancock with a mix of modern influences like Lettuce, STS9 or Galactic. Recently Ocean Disco has been bringing the Big Easy flavor all over the Midwest and southern states, from headlining music festivals to just recently finishing up their 2nd US tour of 2016 with over 70 shows nationwide and embarking on their 3rd national tour entitled "Celestial Nirvana" covering the deep south, east coast and midwest.
After taking a 2 year break from touring and instead have been honing their recording. Jack Hinson which is the founder, lead singer and song writer for the band, has been working on all new reggae music down in the Florida Keys. Influenced by Louis Armstrong, The Meters, Galactic, Trombone Shorty, Stick Figure, Rebelution, Bob Marley, The Movement, Lettuce, Naughty Professor, Earphunk, STS9, Tycho, RJD2, DJ Shadow, Umphrey's McGee, Boards of Canada and the New Orleans funk and reggae music scene.
