Billie Kerr is a singer-songwriter who turns life experiences into art, believing that the pains of being human can be healed and understood through music. As a lyrically talented guitarist and pianist, she connects with her audiences of live shows by her dynamic visual presence and powerful vocals sung from the deep corners of her soul. Her voice, seductive and soulful, delights and impresses along with her ability to meander between slow and fast numbers.

It’s hard to pigeon¬hole Billie’s eclectic way of melding different genres together. Influenced by bluegrass, country, rock, blues and soul, her acoustic folk rock sound has been described as “Vintage Nashville folk with an edge” with comparisons to Stevie Nicks, Grace Potter, Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, Janis Joplin, Susan Tedeschi and Alanis Morissette.

Born in Germany and raised in various areas of the United States, the world is Billie’s home. She has spent the last decade in Northern California, collaborating with a variety of worldly musicians drawn to this free spirited vortex of the globe. Recently, Billie has honed and cultured her musical spirit by spending time in Louisiana, Texas and Missouri - immersing herself in the prolific southern Americana and Midwest bluegrass music scenes.

Billie’s debut album, “Turn Me On”, recorded at Prairie Sun Recording studios in Cotati, CA was released in May 2016 and boasts seven tracks that take listeners on a personal journey of self¬-love, romantic encounters and spiritual growth.

Of late, Billie has teamed up with Mike Turner, an electric / acoustic bassist from Missouri, creating a duo. Influenced heavily by funk, bluegrass & reggae Mike Turner brings an eclectic element to Billie’s ‘Acoustic soul rock’. Not long ago, Daniel Paswaters, an electric lead guitar player also hailing from Missouri and mainly influenced by the Grateful Dead, was added to the mix. The newborn trio, called Billie Kerr & The California Tire Fire Band consists of Billie Kerr on acoustic guitar and vocals, Mike Turner on upright bass and Daniel Paswaters on lead electric guitar. Their vivacious sound is a compelling mix of originals and covers reminiscent of bluegrass, country, rock, soul and folk.
