About Bedroom Rehab Corporation

BRC is a 2 piece band hailing from New London, CT; (Adam Wujtewicz: bass, vocals; Meghan Killimade: drums), and are centered around hypnotic doom and gloom riffing and sludgy shoe-gaze soundscapes.

The band started in 2008 with a vague idea of writing rock songs that didn’t involve guitar and has progressed and evolved into a fully formed heavy-psychedelic riff machine.

After about 4 years of sporadic shows and home recorded releases, BRC slowed their tempos and upped their dynamics to really find their sound. Moving from their punk-meets-blues beginnings and infusing hooks and choruses into a doom metal setting, they became heavier and noisier while still retaining a rock sensibility.

The shows started to pick up again in 2011 and songwriting progressed until they had crafted enough songs to record their first full length album. In October of 2012, BRC went into Sonelab studios in Easthampton, MA to record Red Over Red with Justin Pizzoferrato. The album, which was released January 2013, features 12 tracks that ran the gamut from noisy punk to full on stoner doom.

Over the next 2 years of playing and promoting Red Over Red, BRC played shows throughout the northeast with the likes of Weedeater, Royal Thunder, Deville, Castle and Black Pyramid. The songwriting process showed the influence of playing with a heavier breed of band but still BRC maintained the alternative rock dynamics and the shape-shifting qualities from Red Over Red.

Having honed in on a live setting and with 4 more lengthy songs written, BRC went back to Sonelab and Justin Pizzoferrato to record Fortunate Some in January 2015 and was released October 3, 2015. Focusing a great deal more on melody and heavy psychedelic exploration, Fortunate Some proves to be quite a big step in the BRC sound.

2017: The band continue to play live shows and are currently writing songs for their next record.
