In attività dal 2011, le WIDE HIPS 69, abruzzesi, propongono una miscela di brani inediti Garage/punk and soul, suonati energicamente e ad alto volume, con la rivisitazione di qualche brano storico del proprio genere. Hanno all’attivo un cd autoprodotto "Live Fat, Die Drunk", un video “What a way to die” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I5fbUMtx4o), sono presenti con un loro brano sulle Compilation “Woman do it better”, 2012, (http://www.mediafire.com/?rkz44erywk5ov3h), “All You Need is Punk vol. IV” 2013, (kh1u1h8lneoi2by/All+You+Need+Is+Punk+Compilation+Vol.IV.zip) e “Schiamazzi”, 2013 ed hanno composto la sigla radiofonica dell’omonima trasmissione “Girl Panic” http://www.mwradio.it/sito/?page_id=5113). Il secondo lavoro, "MENOPAUSE", è un live in studio, uscito ad ottobre 2014, co- prodotto per l'etichetta "Area Pirata (http://www.areapirata.com/dettaglio.php?cod=3706); il brano"Bipolar Disorder" contenuto nel cd è stato scelto per l'omonimo video con la regia di Josh Heisenberg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elf3KCHOK5Y). Sono apparse nel cortometraggio "Giallo Artistico" del regista Andrea Malandra, ispirato al personaggio Zanardi di A. Pazienza. Il nuovo lavoro delle Wide Hips 69 ",The Gang Bang Theory", è uscito il 31 ottobre 2017 e prodotto sempre da Area Pirata, allarga le sonorità della band al soul, oltre che al garage ed al punk. Si sono esibite in oltre 100 concerti lungo tutto lo stivale e all'estero, e diviso il palco con gruppi quali Fuzztones, Hell's Shovel, Kamikaze Queens, the Adel's, The Bone Machine, Christine Play's Viola, Tito & The Brainsuckers, Digos Goat, Wild Weekend, The Fiftyniners, Dirty Fences, Gli Illumitati ed altri. Nel 2013 hanno partecipato, oltre a numerosi live, al Maremoto Festival di S. Benedetto del T., aprendo la serata a Baraldi & Zamboni (ex CCCP, CSI) e nel 2014 al Custom Party di Atessa (CH, It), aprendo la serata ai Nekromantics. -------------- * * * *LINE UP *** -Gabriele "Bird": drums -Daniela "Locomotion": bass & screams -Lorena "SlimHips": guitar & screams -Cristina "TitsQuake": screams & cymbal Together since 2011, WIDE HIPS 69, from Abruzzo, Italy, propose a mixture of garage/punk and soul unreleased and reinterpreted classic songs, energically playing at high volume. WIDE HIPS 69 also composed the themesong for the radio show called “Girl Panic” and registered three unreleased songs on tape only, limited edition for the Cassette Store Day - The Cougars, the Milf, the Toy Boy – under the "A Morte Records" record label. The “Bipolar Disorder” song has been chosen for a video production under the direction of Josh Heisenberg ((https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elf3KCHOK5Y) The new work of Wide Hips 69, "The Gang Bang Theory", came out on October 31, 2017 and is always produced by the Pirate Area, extending the band's sound to soul, as well as garage and punk. WIDE HIPS 69 have been playing for over 100 concerts around Italy and shared the stage with bands such us Fuzztones, Hell's Shovel, Kamikaze Queens, the Adel's, The Bone Machine, Christine Play's Viola, Tito & The Brainsuckers, Digos Goat, Wild Weekend,The Fiftyniners, the Illumitati an others.
