Sander & Block

Sander & Block are the German duo who are shaking up the house and techno world with their on point productions and DJ sets.

At the age of only 22 years, the future is looking good for the two school friends from Bochum in the Ruhr area of Germany.

Since discovering the local underground scene, a real passion for techno and house has grown rapidly inside Pascal Sander and Nils Block. The progress has been a steady flow from organizing illegal raves in secret locations to their first intimate club events. Next came a radio residency with HeavensGate Deep followed by releasing their own music. Launching CANVAS, the forward thinking branded event concept from Sander & Block (booking top names such as Spektre alongside the cream of local DJ talent) has been the guys proudest achievement to date.

In the studio and as DJs, Sander & Block are firing up a diverse range of music from deeper to heavier techno sounds. Melodic synth techno, jackin’ tech house and the more tripped out experimental sounds all make up their seductive sound. With influences from artists such as Clouds, Petter B, Gary Beck, Maceo Plex and Stephan Bodzin, for Sander & Block it's all about creating a really authentic club experience, hypnotizing the audience while keeping them dancing to a solid groove.

Already having broken out to Ibiza to showcase their sounds and playing Tanz am See alongside Tapesh, Kevin Over and Phil Fuldner, branching out to new territory is a major part of the duos plans for 2016 and beyond. Featuring on Feeling Ibiza Volume 3 compilation, hitting the top 20 in the techno charts with their debut release “Deeper Sh*t”, forthcoming music on Baroque, Cosmopolitan Flavour and Milk Box Music are all more than respectable achievements and things to look forward to from Sander & Block as they push to the next level.

What can you expect music-wise in the future? In their own words...

Sander says ‘’we're very much influenced by labels such as Drumcode, Octopus Recordings, Phobiq and Soma Records. Evolving our production sounds, learning new studio techniques is what its all about while sticking to our roots of course!''

Block says ''The expansion of CANVAS is very important and high on our list of goals for the not too distant future. We hope to bring all our projects together into an event brand, podcast/radioshow and our own record label.''
