About Leava
Leava is the ever-changing vehicle of experimentation for Simon Nicol, a musician and producer based out of the Pacific Northwest. Nicol started Leava in 2012 while living in Denver, CO, drawing inspiration from recording his own songs after playing in bands around the area. He spent some time traveling and found his way to the Seattle area, where he released his 2014 album, Searching Question.
Nicol began conceptualizing and recording his next EP, Brunt, in 2015 which was released in summer 2016. Shortly after, he released the follow-up single, Crutch. Simon writes, records and produces all of the instrumentation for Leava’s songs in studio and pulls in musicians to play with him live.
With each release brings different sounds, moods and a different drive to Leava, making each record as diverse and lush as the last.
