there were not one, not two, but Three opening bands...I had to drive 40 miles to back home and get up. at 5:00 am for work..I met the band got 2 CDs and a poster ..the venue people told me that Captain Ivory wouldn't play till around 12 midnight so I decided I just couldn't wait that long...so, so disappointed..that really bummed me out..and the were very few people their ...

About Captain Ivory
Michigan born, but touring out of Nashville, TN, Captain Ivory has developed a strong following through heavy touring of festivals and clubs across the US and Europe, including back to back European tours in 2015 & 2016. The group has supported everyone from Otis Taylor, Whitey Morgan & the 78’s, Frontier Ruckus IAMDYNAMITE, and more.
Their debut album, produced by Grammy winning producer David Feeny (Jack White, Loretta Lynn) and released on Gangplank Records in 2014, is featured at Joe Louis Arena, & receives airplay by NPR affiliates WEMU & WDET, WTTS (Indianapolis), Lightning 100 (Nashville), and many others internationally. Their 2016 sophomore record, No Vacancy, & accompanying tours further honed in on the group's sound combining flavors of modern rock, jazz, & blues, & solidified them as a premier live act currently touring.
The Detroit to Nashville rock act combines soaring, high-energy, soulful vocals, with greasy guitar licks and a rhythm section that’s had crowds moving around the globe. Their explosive live shows are a sight to behold. Whether it’s on the big festival stage, or the corner of a small club, these guys bring the energy and the entertainment needed to keep crowds engaged.
