About Triosphere

Triosphere was formed during the fall of 2004, by guitarist Marius Silver Bergesen, singer/bass player Ida Haukland and drummer Ørjan Aare Jørgensen. They soon caught the attention of the Norwegian label Face Front Records who released their debut album “Onwards” throughout Europe during the fall of 2006 and spring of 2007. Japanese label Spiritual Beast released the album in Asia and the USA. Shortly after the release of “Onwards”, the bands line-up was finally completd with the entrance of guitarist Tor Ole Byberg, and so the journey continued: “Onwards” received an average of 8,5/10 in the reviews from both the national and the international press. The following live-performances promoting the album earned Triosphere a place in Norway’s largest music magazine,- Scream Magazine’s voting poll for Top 5 Best Norwegian Bands of the Year 2006 – 2008, and Top 10 Best Bands of the Year 2007 – 2008. In the spring of 2009 internationally prestigious metal magazine Rock Hard Magazine (DE) featured the band as one of the 20 most promising new bands worldwide. Later that same year Triosphere and ”Onwards” received the award Metal Album of the Year from the worlds largest independent music organization, American “Just Plain Folks Music Org.” during their annual JPF Awards, in competition with more than 40.000 artists in all genres around the world. At the same time, the writing of their second album was close to finished, and after extensive touring and working with promoting the band and ”Onwards”, Triosphere caught the attention of major label AFM Records who consequently released their second album ”The Road Less Travelled” worldwide the 28th of May 2010. It was recorded in their hometown Trondheim, and mixed by one of the most experienced and acknowledged sound engineers in the European melodic rock and metal scene; Tommy Hansen in Jailhouse Studio (Denmark). The album received sky high reviews worldwide and launched the band up to the next level in the international melodic metal scene. First and foremost, Triosphere is a live-band with a passion for the energy one only experience by interacting with a live audience! They have done two Norwegian tours with the legendary W.A.S.P., 2006 and 2007 respectively, and five European tours; first with Kotipelto, Chris Caffery, Kamelot, Jorn and W.A.S.P in 2007, second one with Jorn in 2008, and in december 2009 the band toured with metal titans Arch Enemy and Destruction! For the most of 2010 the band did one-off’s and festivals before they embarked on two European tours in the spring of 2011; first with Sonata Artica and then with American legends in Crimson Glory. In addition to touring, Triosphere have co-headlined Swiss metal festival “Metal Inferno 2008” together with Threshold, done festivals featuring bands and artists like Sebastian Bach, Mayhem, Evergrey, After Forever, Enslaved, Kamelot, Soilwork, Volbeat and Dimmu Borgir. They’ve had the honor of playing support for DIO on his last concert in Norway, and in august 2011 they reached yet another goal as they were invited to perform at the biggest metal festival in Europe; Wacken Open Air! The band is now working on their much awaited third album which is scheduled for recording this fall. Triosphere is constantly planning and working on booking concerts and tours, and this will be announced continuously on the official website and all related pages and forums! Triosphere can’t wait to get back out on the road and bang their heads together with all of you! Norway's most powerful melodic heavy metal band. Follow us also on instagram @triosphereofficial!
