About The Lucky Devils
The Lucky Devils were born in Lille (France, 59) in 1999. Ricky (Drums) and Phil (Guitar and vocals) met Vivien (Slap Bass) to form a band inspired by different styles of Rock (Rock'n'Roll, Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Surf, Garage etc.). They blended into a unique style that’s in fact a powerfull but melodious style half way between hard Neo-Rockabilly and Psychobilly. 90% of the songs they play are originals by the band and the covers are played in their very own style, so you couldn’t say who sang them before.
After having played in lots of pubs, concerts halls, biker and custom car shows, tattoo conventions etc., the first album, "Time Passes By", became available in March 2002 on the German label, Part Records, made up of thirteen tracks comprising of eight originals and five covers played in the band's own style. After the success of this album, they played in lots of festivals (Hannover and Walldorf, in Germany, then England, Switzerland and Belgium),and as openers for major artists (Nekromantix, Guanabatz...) and are on some compilations (“Swing-a-Billy Chartbusters”, “Welcome to Punkabilly Circus” etc.).
Due to growing demand, the second album “Black with Flames” was released on Part Records at the beginning of 2003 with thirteen tracks comprising of nine originals and four covers (Gene Vincent, Hank Williams, AC-DC...). After the success of this album, the Lucky Devils played in more and more festival over Europe (Speyer, “Treat me Bad festival”, “Southern Porks Unions festival” , etc.).
The Third Album, “To Hell”, was released on Crazy Love Records, Germany. The music is even more representative of what the band plays live: a melodious but powerful Psychobilly.
