Cactopus is a dark yet whimsical band of four which formed in Durango, Colorado but now resides in Austin, Texas. They incorporate elements of punk, psychedelic, funk, reggae and indie pop drawing influences from bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Primus, The White Stripes, Modest Mouse & Belle and Sebastian. The lyrics will take you on strange journeys from their post apocalyptic visions to the broken gears of an insane mind. The band has recently release their first album, Scotty Found a Rocket, which is available on iTune, Spotify and cdbaby.com Is it like a mix between a Cactus and an Octopus or what?
