About Fronteers

From the moment of their first single release ‘Youth’ in 2015, Radio 1-playlisted Hull band Fronteers have been riding a constant wave of praise from music press and fans alike. Borrowing from the soulful harmonies of The Beatles mixed with the effervescent duo force of The Last Shadow Puppets or The Libertines, Fronteers come together to create a modern bred indie rock & roll.

Growing up amidst the chaotic energy of a 10-person family household and then moving out to the ‘most dangerous corner in Hull’, it’s no surprise that singer and guitarist Andy Towse has drawn lyrical & songwriting inspiration from unusual places. Joining forces with singer and guitarist James Taylor who brings his captivating songwriting style and poor boy blue background into the mix, the two balance to create the perfect harmony, both literally and figuratively. Coupled with the infectious energy of Lloyd Tuton on drums and Ellis Keogh on bass, Fronteers have built an unbreakable foundation that will continue to expand into their future releases.

Fronteers have already ticked off some major milestones early in their career from headlining the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds Festival to drawing a crowd of over a thousand people at their first international gig in Germany. Having also supported the likes of indie rock favourites The Courteeners and Blossoms in massive venues, it’s only evident that Fronteers have a bright future ahead of them.

Expect to hear new releases from Fronteers as 2017 closes and catch them on tour in 2018.
