Musicphobia

La band nasce a Roma grazie all’incontro del cantante Michelangelo Lubrano e del chitarrista Giuseppe Silvestri, che nel 2005 abbandonano le personali sperimentazioni musicali, per dare vita al progetto: “Musicphobia”. Il batterista, Marco Sebastianelli ed il bassista Fabio Mociatti abbracciano la “Mission” successivamente, influenzando fin da subito la produzione creativa dei brani. La versatilità e la diversa natura e formazione professionale di ciascun componente ha caratterizzato profondamente il songwriting e le sonorità dei pezzi, consacrando - nell’ambito del rock “Alternativo” - un identità musicale ben definita, che combina in maniera raffinata atmosfere rock a interferenze jazz e a melodie decadenti, re-interpretate con attitudine punk. Ciò che contribuisce a rendere la musica dei MP così unica ed originale, consiste nella capacità di saper trasformare accordi e strutture armoniche complesse in un sound godibile e fruibile a tutti, capace di suscitare un turbinio di profonde e contrastanti emozioni. Gli artisti che maggiormente hanno ispirato la produzione della band sono: Alice in Chains, David Bowie, Soundgarden, Shinedown, Extreme, Silverchair, Muse e Alter Bridge. **** ** * ** **** The band was born in Rome in 2005, when the singer Michelangelo Lubrano meets the guitar-player Giuseppe Silvestri, and they both decide to leave their individual musical experimentations and to start a new project: “Musicphobia”. First Marco Sebastianelli, the drummer, then Fabio Mociatti, the bass player join the “Mission”, actively participating in the songs’ creative process. The versatility, the different nature and professional background of each member deeply characterize Musicphobia’ songwriting and sound, revealing - in the area of Alternative Rock - a rare individual identity: based on the balanced mix of rock atmospheres, jazz interferences, decadent melodies and punk attitude. What makes MP’s music so unique and original is the ability to turn elaborate chords and harmonic structures into an enjoyable and attractive sound, capable to arouse a deep emotional whirlwind.
