About Lisa Piccirillo

Considered "one of the most promising youngsters on the circuit," (SevenDays VT) Lisa Piccirillo is a Vermont-based singer/songwriter whose music chronicles poignant observations with honesty and grace. Her debut solo record, "Momentum" (The Co-Op, 2008), is a satisfying blend of folk and pop which allows the r&b tendencies and technical intricacies of Lisa's hypnotic vocals to truly shine through, drawing comparisons to powerhouse vocalists from Patty Griffin to Christina Aguilera. In September of 2010, Lisa and fellow singer-songwriters Syd and Patrick Thomas quietly and gracefully transformed into a band called Hotels & Highways when the three Co-Op co-founders met at a lakeside cabin in New York to fulfill a mutual, career-long dream of living together while recording an album. Their cabin-grown record, "Lost River,” (2011) was chosen as an "editor's pick" by Amazon.com upon its release and their sophomore EP "Greetings from Wilbraham" (2012) is evidence that the band's growth continues. Heralded as a gifted harmonizer, Lisa has the unique ability to blend with any vocalist. She has appeared on releases by award-winning Aussie rocker Mia Dyson, Boston's rock-scene sweetheart Chad Perrone, and VT-grown vocal gymnast, singer/songwriter Gregory Douglass. Lisa has performed in legendary venues across the country such as Saratoga Springs' Caffè Lena, Boston's Club Passim, Ann Arbor's The Ark, as well as the Living Room, Rockwood Music Hall and The Bitter End in New York City. "lisa's voice has this crystal clear tone, like cold water." - jane lindholm, vermont public radio
