Incision

Incision is a heavy metal band from Calvert County, Maryland. Originally dubbed as Maelstrom, the chaotic and turbulent free vortex from Poe's fiction which would swallow ship and sailor whole. The name equally represented our unrefined and tumultuous sound. The band consisted of vocalist Daniel Freeman, drummer Chris Rausch, bassist Mark Madden, and guitarist Nathan Cannon. In early 2011 the band decided to change their name to Incision to avoid confusion with a variety of other bands which shared the name 'Maelstrom' and to reflect a change in the bands music from turbulent pandemonium to the refined, surgically precise, and cutting steel-like sound. Incision is currently working to release their debut album that has been in the works for several years. We are Incision from Southern Maryland. Playing shows and makin good jams is what we do. We are not to be labeled. Whatever comes out, comes the fuck out.
