Dead Company

The members of Dead Company were a little surprised when they played their first gig and everyone starting jumping and even singing along with songs that they wrote. Now the Hard Rock band from Dordrecht is still writing music and planning gigs to make sure their music is available for everyone. Lars and Nico have played in multiple metal bands together before they started Dead Company. They said they "wanted to do something else than metal" and so they started a rock band that soon became a hard rock band when the singer Noah van Houwelingen joined the line-up. Noah was mainly a death metal singer but fell in love with the music that was produced by Nico and Lars very quickly. After that, Sven, who played with Nico in Matchead, joined the band and shortly after that, Pax joined to make the 5-men power line-up complete and they are ready to take on the world with their hard rock sound! Before Noah Sven and Pax joined, the band’s sound was a lot like Creedence Clearwater Revival and other classic ‘70s rock bands, but since they have all joined the music became a mix between that and hard rock like AC/DC and even some resemblance to bands like Metallica. The combination of those genres makes for an up tempo vibe that the crowd can go wild on! Excited as they were with their new sounds they were laying down, the band never anticipated the enthusiasm that fans found for their music. Noah says, "On every gig we’ve been on since now people would come up to us and say that they had a great time jumping around like crazy on songs like 'Route 66' and 'Motorcycle Bastard' and it's great to hear that!" Although they couldn't be happier with the response they have gotten from people in and around the Dordrecht area, with their plans to release their first EP this year they want to make a name for themselves in Zuid-Holland and from there they'll sweep the Netherlands off their feet! Sven says, "With our EP ready we will be able to play bigger shows and get our Rock n' Roll sound out there!" "What it comes down to for us,” remarks Nico, “Is that we really dig what we’re doing, and we think a lot of people dig it too.” Lars agrees on that and says “we’ve met so many people who say ‘this is the kind of music I love, why is nobody else playing it?’ that we wouldn’t want to do anything else.” Dead Company is a five-man rock band from Dordrecht, Papendrecht and Alblasserdam. Started in June 2014 and located in Dordrecht.
