Moon By You

Moon By You, Doo-Wop cosmonauts of Portland Oregon, have landed on Planet Rock n’ Roll with a mission. In the autumn of 2013, they spent moss covered hours in Olympia’s famed Dub Narcotic Studios recording 12 original tracks on analog 2-inch tape. The sound captured in their sessions sings ancient and were brought to life in Moon By You’s first EP, Vacuum Dream Machine.

While embracing the psychedelic revival of the millennial generation, the 5 piece continues to honor 50’s and 60’s rock n’ roll. Moon by You’s sound is akin to a spaceship landing in a swamp while Elvis’ ghost croons from a cypress tree under a full moon.

Since the band’s beginnings as a duo in 2010, Tyler Verign and Sarah Que have teamed with three musicians to create the sound of an old-school rock n’ roll band. Jake “Diamond Jim” Enger, Kevin Clark, and Austin “Mizungu” Smith play lead guitar, organ and bass guitar, respectively. The members harmonize, experiment with their instrument lineup and mystify during their live performances.

Through sound, we time travel with Moon By You, from out of the dingy basement, the hipster bar, the backyard party into a place where Little Richard communes with the Buddha and the Goddess of Moon sips quicksilver wine while holding revelers in her hand.
