About The Allies

There is more than one artist using the name The Allies. (1) Was a Seattle-based band that scored a regional hit in the 80s with their Avengers-inspired song "Emma Peel". (2) A three piece rock band from New York that existed in the early 80s and contained former Sweet bassist Steve Priest. (3) a fast rising indie band from Birmingham. (4) A three piece formed in 2005 in Norman, OK via Portland. "Usually, when people decide to form a band, the instruments are selected and the players stick to them. Not so with Norman's up and coming The Allies. The trio, featuring Natalie Howard and Chance Flato on guitar/drums/vocals and Dan Whiteneck on bass/keys, delights in switching instruments mid-set and sharing songwriting duties. They're an allied front, playing up-tempo, structured, catchy chord-rock." -Josh Mcbee POP
