About Paper Flowers

paper flowers Los Angeles based band, paper flowers is the collaboration of two songbirds, Lily Wilson and Renee Stahl. Both accomplished singer/songwriters on their own, they started writing together after Lily recognized Renee in a Silver Lake boutique and chased her out to her car with a CD in her hand. “From the first time I heard Renee's honest, ethereal voice, I knew I had to sing with her,” says Lily. They ended up hiking up a windy hill in November to record a version of the Christmas song, Silver Bells; and paper flowers’ cinematic, atmospheric, vocal harmony-based sound was born. paper flowers has recently teamed up with producers Mark Browne (bassist- Simple Minds, Melissa Etheridge) and Eric Rosse (producer- Tori Amos, Sara Bareilles) to record their first EP. The first single, “I Have it Too,” combines Lily and Renee’s lush vocal harmonies with haunting piano, strings and a driving, memorable beat; and has been described as “shimmering, lyrical, cinematic, and inspiring.” paper flowers = cinematic, vocal harmony-based sound
