Ricardo Baez

Ricardo Baez is a young italian-venezuelan talent. He was born and grew among all his father's blues, soul and jazz vinyls, who used to play sax and also with some 80's pop music tapes his mother owned for her contemporary dance classes. In few years Ricardo is in the spotlights thanks to a completely personal unpredicable style. His main feature is his empathy with the public, something in which he believes beyond every artistic definition. He gets inspired by Chicago house music and Detroit techno, and in 2012 his first EP came out, THE MESSAGE, with TOY TONICS label, which obtained an international success and put his name among the best young italian djs and producers to keep watching. Since 2010 he keeps leading the weekly clubnight Tropical Animals, where several renowed artists' sets took place as Gesaffelstein, Kevin Saunderson, Caribou, Kim ann foxman, Scuba etc. All these artistic encounters, with such International potential, increased and refined his unique style. He is lately working on his debut album, that will be preceded by his next eps , planned to be published in the summer of 2017. ______ Ricardo Baez è un giovane talento italo-venezuelano cresciuto tra vinili blues, soul and jazz del padre saxofonista e le cassette di canzoni pop anni 80 usate dalla madre per insegnare danza moderna. In pochi anni riesce a farsi notare grazie a uno stile del tutto personale, molto apprezzato per imprevedibilità, l’empatia col pubblico e’ il suo elemento, qualcosa in cui crede oltre ogni definizione artistica. Influenzato dalla house di chicago e la techno di detroit, il suo primo ep (THE MESSAGE) esce nel 2012 sull’etichetta tedesca Toy Tonics, che riscuote un successo internazionale e lo candida come uno dei migliori giovani dj/produttori italiani da tenere sott’occhio. Infatti dopo pochi mesi iniziano i suoi lavori importanti per etichette come GOMMA RECORDS, REBIRTH, oltre ai super remix per LUKE SOLOMON e HARDTON e l'ultimo suo disco su NIGHT PEOPLE NYC (etichetta di Eli Escobar), che lo ha portato alla ribalta oltreoceano con il suo tour newyorkese che lo ha visto in scena in club come LE BAIN e HOUSE OF YES, in radio al THE LOT RADIO e nel famosissimo negozio di dischi A1 RECORDS per il "STORE SESSION". Sta lavorando al suo album di debutto, anticipato dal prossimo ep su MUSIC FOR FREAK, che è previsto nell'estate del 2017.
