Oliver Knight

In just a few short years Oliver Knight has already achieved so much in his music career. With releases on revered labels such as Stereo Productions, Great Stuff Recordings, Global Underground, Strictly Rhythm, Smiley Fingers, Nirvana and Incorrect Music, it is easy to see why there is an air of excitement surrounding his every release. His productions have mainly been alongside his good friend Hugo Jones, however more solo projects are now in full swing for 2015. Oliver began producing at the end of 2011 and has received support from DJs like Coyu, Umek, Riva Starr, Christian Varela, Christian Smith, Mark Knight, Tiger Stripes and Jay Lumen. Since his first release in late 2011 Oliver has collaborated with Matthew Codek, Diavlo, Seff and Inaki Santos as well as his ongoing partnership with Hugo. In addition, his tracks have been remixed by Kaiserdisco, Sonic Future, David Herrero, Filthy Rich, James Dutton and Robot Needs Oil as well as remixing DJ Chus, David Penn and Abel Ramos. After DJing in his hometown of Bournemouth for a few years, Oliver decided to try his hand at DJing abroad, and flew out to Mallorca. This proved to be a positive decision when off the back of a trial at BCM Planet Dance, he landed a weekly residency at the club. It wasn't long before he had a full-time DJ residency the following year. The opportunity to play with some of the world's biggest DJs at such a young age was in his own words “A dream come true”. Oliver continued with his residency whilst his production partnership with Hugo started to take shape. Oliver first started producing alongside his friend Hugo Jones and the pair first met in Mallorca during the summer of 2007. Less than 2 years later, after becoming neighbours, they became a DJ partnership in Magaluf during the summer and London during the winter. As well as playing regular shows together in London, they also started a weekly radio show on one of London’s leading house music stations. As the duo's DJ sets continued to receive great feedback and support, their first production was also in the making. 2011 saw their first track ‘Navaja’ signed to the infamously known Global Underground, one of their favourite labels. This release was also remixed by one of the biggest names in the Tech House scene - Kaiserdisco. The rest of that year saw more of their original material signed to labels and remixed by some industry front-runners. In 2012 they had releases on Stereo Productions and their own 3 track EP on Great Stuff Recordings. The guys have since gone on to remix Iberican house legends DJ Chus, Abel Ramos and David Penn. They had follow-up releases on Stereo Productions and Great Stuff and these tracks also featured on some of the most respected compilation albums within House music. So here we are in 2015 and Oliver has firmly established himself as an exciting, fresh underground artist. New original material has been released on Waldliebe Familien and King Street Sounds with upcoming EP's on Mile End Recordings and Safe Music alongside a whole host of original material, collaborations and projects set for summer 2015!
