About The Ricecookers
August 2014, the latest EP "again and again" was released and available on iTunes and Amazon. THE RICECOOKERS is a Japanese rock band formed in 2004 in Boston now based in Brooklyn, New York by Tomomi Hiroishi (Vocalist), Kota Fujii (Lead Guitar), and Daisuke Wakabayashi (Bass) and later joined by Sohei Oyama (Drums). They met at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where they were classically trained and perfected their musical skills. In 2010, THE RICECOOKERS made their debut with an EP "Four of Our Songs". Soon after the first Japan tour, one of their songs was chosen for Japanese TV drama titled "SPEC". It turned out to be a movie series as well. Along with appearing rock festivals they keep touring Japan occasionally from their home town, New York. THE RICEOOKERS regularly perform at renowned venues such as Arlene's Grocery, Pianos, The Knitting Factory, Fontana's.
