Makeshift Lullaby

Within the confines of the walls of Studio 4 at Rivington Music Rehearsal Studios in the East Village of Manhattan, the varied crew that makes up Makeshift Lullaby can usually be found turning down their amps, putting a few minutes aside, and obsessing over perfecting rich and vibrant four and five part vocal harmonies. Founded in 2009 by NYC-based Singer/Songwriter John Black on vocals and guitar, Makeshift Lullaby was born of a DIY mentality Black has carried with him since he was just a child. Having seen its fair share of talented musicians occupying the various roles within the group throughout the years, the band led by Black, currently also consists of Andrew Iuso (Bass/Vocals), David Estioco (Keyboard/Vocals), and Marco Gill (Drums/Vocals), with additional members floating in and out for live performances. Having just gotten back together after a three year hiatus, the group will soon return to the recording studio to record their sophomore album ' the follow-up to 2011's 'Shadows,' currently available on all major digital retailers ' although one could argue that this is a completely different band than the one that recorded that album, both from a personnel perspective and a songwriting one.
