John Gorman hails from Austin, Texas as a singer-songwriter with a unique, creative sound that careens between genres yet maintains a strong melodic pop core. After years spent writing and honing his craft in Buffalo, New York, John took his solo act to Austin and began playing open mics in the Summer of 2012. Shows started in 2013, and began to take off late in 2014 right up through now. John Gorman encompasses a compelling blend of soaring vocals, clever wordplay, percussive guitar picking, and superlative melody. His stage presence is truly engaging, with uproarious zingers and entrancing stories sprinkled between songs, and copious amounts of Mardi Gras beads available that contribute to a carnival-like atmosphere in any venue.
