About Prgrm

In the bathroom late at night, PRGRM emerged among the members of the project. A wall of sound was erected, keyboards destroyed and shows played, effectively stamping the band into the local circuit. Overtime, the band, set out to refine their project into a productive and exciting output for the PRGRM brand

PRGRM is a group with a diverse and eclectic approach, combining electronics with rock instrumentation to create their sound.
The idea behind the new experiment was to simply create computer generated sequences and percussions, over a backdrop of live instruments. With no genre in mind, other than just trying to make music with an experimental edge, while refusing to get stuck in a box in terms of creativity..
Huddling in the bathroom late at night, a PRGRM emerged among the members of the project. A wall of sound was erected, keyboards destroyed and shows played as the band gained traction, effectively stamping the band into the local circuit. Overtime, the band was set on steady rotation on San Diego radio stations 91x and 94.9, aired on NBC (Soundiego) and live guest on Tonight In San Diego.

It’s all about making music and seeking art as a way to explore, communicate and express regardless of genre definition and other limitations.

“Hourglass” unfolds like one of those playfully seductive Grimes songs, but then, just as you think the song is ending, a tin-like beat begins, the guitars and keyboard whirlpool around it and front woman Tza (no relation to Wu-Tang members, as far as I can tell) robotically chants “just come with me” over and over as if she were saying it to all of humanity. That song, much like the album overall, is eerie and seductive at the same time, like the world coming to an end, but at the hands of really hot robot overlords. And with a kick-ass soundtrack. – Seth Combs – SD City Beat

Formed in San Diego, CA by Tza (Dismantled) and Daniel Corrales (Beta/Noise.Records) in 2011.
