Connibal Road

Connibal Road is a three-piece rock band from St. Louis, formed in 2009 similarly to Tyler Durden's emergence in Fight Club. After releasing a self-titled EP in 2009, the band has been playing St. Louis clubs, with club owners taking note of its unique blend of simple song-driven radio-rock and complex art-rock. The self-produced debut LP _A Longing for the Black and White_ offers an accessible, modern hard-rock sound with a composition style that is a true alternative to the popular stock rock of today. Deep lyrical content resonates on multiple levels with plenty of vocal harmonies while subtly-syncopated guitars drive over punk rock-influenced drums. Released in late September, 2013, their third studio record, entitled The Low, gives audiences an alternate perspective into the band's creativity and influence. The band is steadily gaining momentum in St. Louis and is looking to push its message into the minds of new crowds in 2016. With lyrical themes ranging from the ego-centric to commentary on shallow reality TV culture, the core of Connibal Road's message stresses the importance of basic--and almost spiritual--human experiences.
