About Mike Lee Music
Singer/songwriter and mixed martial arts trainer Mike Lee has been traveling coast to coast with his band over the last 3 years, and they are just getting started.
Mike’s 2015 EP, All I Need, was named #8 of the year by CCM Magazine. That album captured quiet moments from a difficult season for Mike, in which his father was diagnosed with lung cancer. For a year and a half, while balancing family, recording, touring and leading worship at his home church in Indiana, Mike walked with his father though his cancer fight. Then, in July, Mike’s father passed away.
In 2016 Mike responded with 5 singles. And on July 22 2017, he released his first full length project, Worth It. The album features songs co-written and produced by Rusty Varenkamp (Kristian Stanfill, Jason Gray, Building 429), Seth Mosley (For King and Country, Mat Kearney, Bethel Music) and Cody Norris from Ed Cash Studio (Dave Barnes, Needtobreathe, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Kari Jobe).
“I started playing guitar to be like my dad,” says Mike. “Because music is something he and I shared, I wanted to remember him by writing the best songs of my life to this point. With the help of some talented friends in Nashville, I think we’ve done that.”
Mike has recently shared the stage with Switchfoot, Family Force 5, For King and Country, Chris Tomlin, Leeland, Michael W. Smith, I Am They, The Digital Age, Audrey Assad, and the Sidewalk Prophets, among others.
