WAKANE

“WAKANE” is a Norcal based Reggae band Led by singer song writer Wakane Luke.
Of Okinawan / Hawaiian decent, Wakane’ has been sharing her talent with the world since the age of three. She has performed throughout mainland Japan and Okinawa on the USO Tours all while being a sought after instructor for vocals and choreography. Wakane’ has also hosted various local radio and TV shows throughtout her career.

With the backing of her talented, and very accomplished band members, Wakane’ is creating quite the buzz world-wide.
On drums we have Mr. Justin Estep, on Key boards is Mr. Giscard, better known as “G” Lue-Chung, and on bass, we have Mr. Glenn Molina.

『ワカネ』とはシンガーソングライター（ワカネ　ルーク）が中心となってカリフォルニアで活動中のレゲエバンドです。
ワカネ大嶺ルーク、カルフォルニア在住、沖縄民謡の歌手である母、ラジオDJの父の影響受けて物心ついた時にはおもちゃのマイクを持ち、作詞作曲を始め、歌っていた幼少期を過ごす。1６歳の頃テレビ番組「Boom Boom」、ローカルラジオDJ,ミュージカル等にも出演。ボイストレーニング講師としても努めながら様々な音楽活動を経験する。これまでにUsher, Monica, KC and Jojo といったアーティストのJapan ツアーに参加し、コーラスサポートやライブ等を行う。

その後、活動の拠点をカルフォルニアに移し、REGGAE,R＆B、ソウルミュージックのテイストも感じられる、現在の"wakane"のスタイルを築き始める。これまでにファーストアルバム「Longing for the Day」セカンドアルバム「Rising」の2枚をリリース。

歌う事を純粋に愛する事で生まれる圧倒的なライブパフォーマンスは彼女独特の声とアドリブに見る人全てを惹き付ける。近年はウクレレを弾きながら彼女をサポートするバンド、ギターリスト（ベン）ドラマー（ジャスティン）キーボードリスト（ジー）ベーシスト（グレン）と共にカリフォルニアを中心精力的に活動している新進気鋭のアーティスト。ブッキング、質問、お問い合わせは関しては alohawakanemusic@gmail.com
