The Damned

These guys are f-ing pros. Probably the best concert I've seen in a decade. Hope it won't be their last tour. They were fresh and melted the audience. So Goooooooood!

Fantastic night with the Damned. As good as ever with great new material. Darkadelic is a brilliant album. The House of Blues in Anaheim is a great venue. Just an outstanding evening. I hope I get to see the Damned again soon.

The Damned are the best live band that I always love and never disappointed. They put so much into what they do and definitely entertaining, every time! The new album Darkadelic sounds great live!

the Damned never disappoint but this was a blisteringly brilliant show. played almost the whole new album plus a bunch of great songs from all eras. they deserve to be even more famous but they are the best underground band ever

We flew with my wife from DC just for this concert. They are that good. They are the most solid band around. Tight as no other act. I appreciate that they play the new album and their classics. Always close to their audience. Vanian was spotless, Captain was brilliant. Monty is a great stage presence. Mr Gray was fantastic and the feel with Will Taylor, the drummer was evident in Motorcycle Man. Still my favorite band. Mr Vanian, if you read this, not that it matters, but I never winked! Rock on!!

The show was awesome. The Damned played the perfect mix of old and new. The venue was great aside from a couple of minor nitpicking issues…. The sound could have been a little better as there were a couple of issues. Also, the charge for balcony seats was totally unnecessary.

The Damned concert was a pleasure as always. As a 20 year old fan, I don’t feel any different from the rest of the crowd, I feel welcome at the concert which is a huge plus! The music sounded amazing, and I really enjoyed the new material for the new Darkadelic album! A really throroughly enjoyable concert and once again memories to last a life time. Long love the Damned - my all time favourite band. True musical geniuses 🖤

Fair play for pensioners they were banging. Even with the dreaded 'we playing from our new album' 2 encores and kept it going all night. Support from Sky Arts documentary characters was top notched as well

Sound was awful, guitars too high, vocals too low, could hardly hear Dave sing, ok when the captain joined in but otherwise not a great night. To be honest a strange venue for a punk band when there are so many other more suitable places they could have booked given the audience numbers

The damned were great! I saw the casualties in the crowd. It was weird seeing a punk band in a place that had seats. The food was overpriced and the seats seemed to restrict movement so it was pretty tame. It’s best to see them at a festival or a bar venue.

It was an incredible night, one I will never forget, the whole band are very talented and insanely nice people!! Tha damned are better than the sex pistols ever were 🤟🤟

Dave Vanian is completely underrated as one of the greatest frontmen and vocalists in Rock and Roll. The Damned plowed through over 20 songs; most from their early Punk albums with a splash of 80s pop and soundtrack hits and some of their well known satirical covers. Captain Sensible with a broken rib from a stage fall a few weeks ago; one upped Axl and Grohl by playing seated on a crusty toilet throne with the tank converted to a beer cooler. At 64, he still played with rigor and abandon, occasionally riffing ten seconds of everything from Pearl Jam to Billy Joel during intros. He had one false start, replaying New Rose when they were playing neat neat neat. No clue how he's doing back to back shows without rest. Oxymoron was the court jester - hippy hype man - cheering the crowd to sing along and dance. These guys have been together almost twenty years, 40 for Vanian and Sensible, and tonight wasn't even close to a punk rock show; or a greatest hits review. It was five individuals putting together a solid musical performance of Rock and Roll and radio standards. Two three song encores - and they could have gone all night. Gosh have they evolved.

What can I say? Alice Bag opened! Such a great surprise! Talk about the early LA scene...Castration Squad? The Bags? Classic LA punk. Turns out she was at that first Damned show 40 years ago and within a few weeks of seeing them she formed a band of her own. It was only fitting she open for the band that inspired her 4 decades ago. The Damned performed an especially energetic set. They exhibited a lot more punch than the last time I saw them; of course this time they had a bigger stage to run around on. Captain Sensibles antics never disappoint and Dave Vanian still dresses nattily and croons as smoothly as always. Set list was a neat mix of early and mid-discography songs. There were 2 encores and by the time they left stage for good I think everybody was satisfied. I certainly was.

I had a fantastic time! The guys were lovely and the set list was too notch. It was great to see these guys in action after years of anticipation to see them!

It was an amazingly brilliant night. They performed wonderfully. It was a magical night for me. I had been waiting like 30 years to see them.. I hope to do it again

The band was great guys were having fun and sounded good. They played all the hits from newest back to New Rose and an encore. Crowd had good energy and made it fun for the band. Venue was very appropriate The Belasco is kinda Gothic and has good acoustics.

They do just get better and better mr Vanian was really outgoing and enjoying himself more than I've ever seen him before. Music really tight and got the crowd going really early brilliant night

brilliant they just keep getting better and better set list was just perfect the damned are truly underated and deserve more credit than what they get highlights for me were history of the world ignite and as always smash it up

An excellent Gig probably the best I've saw The Damned in recent years. They played an excellent set of Damned classics and singer Dave Vanian was in fine form. The support bands The Media Whores & Crashed Out also played good sets.

Brilliant, as always. Just wish they would play some of the newer stuff too. Great entertainment and the best vocals you'll hear anywhere. But don't tell everyone... as I want to be able to get future tickets!
