Paula Harris, well known in the bay area as a premiere vocalist, brings her newest offering “The Speakeasy Project”. Speakeasy is album from an acoustic trio that brings together some of the most renowned musicians in the bay area to provide a canvas for Paula’s sophisticated vocal blend of Jazz and Blues. Material ranges from original numbers to the Great American Songbook and even incorporates smooth jazz, soul and R&B, all given a makeover via Paula’s elegant mid-century sound. The “Speakeasy” album was released May 1, 2019 and is on several charts in both the blues and jazz world. It is currently being played on over 1000 stations world-wide, and has received press/media accolades in more than a dozen countries. Her sound is being hailed as that of a modern-day Dinah Washington. Paula offers the same polished blend of passionate blues, restrained jazz and impudence Ms. Washington was famous for. Paula is a multiple Music and Blues Music Award nominee and winner and was voted “2018 Best Female Vocalist” at the Northern California Entertainers and Music Awards.
