About The Bliss Jockeys
The Bliss Jockeys are a dynamic rock/pop/vocals band led by singer/songwriter Phil Robinson. A popular fixture on the NYC performance circuit, the band also regularly plays festivals & special events throughout the larger NY area.
Part rock, part gospel & part jam band, The Bliss Jockeys feature a small gospel-style choir of fantastic female voices, and deliver a big, delirious experience that energizes, inspires and gets audiences singing along every time.
Taking their name from Joseph Campbell's phrase, "Follow Your Bliss," the band draws from a deep well of mythic inspiration-- its repertoire includes Phil's fun, upbeat originals such as 'Transcendental Cowboy' and 'Through The Middle' as well as poignant cover songs such as 'Hallelujah' and 'People Get Ready' that showcase the unique harmonic breadth of the choir.
