Born is Romania Ovi discovered the art of music making in 2004 where he experienced vinyl on the original Technics 1200s. He played whatever gigs he could wiggle his way into the DJ booth for, in order to get his name out there. This is where he honed his skill for programming and proper production.

With the aforementioned label partnerships and below discography it is well to say this Canadian decknician is a sure draw for any EDM venue, festival or event. Ovi M is well on his way to becoming the next great Canadian export.

Ovi M is supported by Danny Tenaglia, Dubfire, Marco Carlo, Gary Beck, Erphum, Subfractal, and Paco Osuna.He is on the roster of Sian’s label OCTOPUS Records. He also has releases under: Brood Audio, Fracture Audio, Sketchbook Music, Nervous NYC, Roots & Wings, Datagroove, PBR and DBR Recordings. He is signed to the highly respected techno booking agency, Re-Konstrukt.
Ovi has developed his signature sound of pounding, chugging techno fuelled by rich rolling baselines combined with mean build-ups with smack down delivery, taking his dancefloor on a dark musical journey.

His first EP “Follow Me” was released on Balkan Connection South America in December 2010. Ovi currently has 16 releases under his slipmat with his latest Confliktion released in December 2012. He currently holds residency at Toronto’s largest nightclub The Guvernment. And has manipulated the DJ booths at: Montreal’s Circus Afterhours, New York City’s Static Afterhours, and Toronto’s Footwork, and the infamous Comfort Zone.
