Jeff Gilkinson

Multi-instrument virtuoso and recording session great, Jeff Gilkinson, is overwhelmingly recognized for his body of performance and recorded work with world-renowned American Bluegrass band, The Dillards. Trained as a classical cellist, Gilkinson also mastered the banjo, harmonica, and lead vocal talent, leading to his being credited as a significant figure in the development of the modern bluegrass movement and sound.

In addition to penning several songs for – and recording five albums with – The Dillards, Jeff Gilkinson’s diverse relationships and broad history in both the live and recorded music arenas include the top names in American music: Jennifer Warnes, Gram Parsons, Michael Martin Murphy, Jon Vezner, Tom T. Hall, Jackson Browne, Bil VornDick, and scores of other notable artists.

Currently, Jeff Gilkinson is touring in support of his own magnum opus titled, Hymn to the Road, in addition to reclaiming his historic spot with legendary Bluegrass patriarchs The Dillards.
