About Dead End Friend

The debut release, Mother Nurture, from Dead End Friend sounds like Seattle. Or, it would if Seattle was a little more bluesy and a lot more sexy. With Jonah Cohen on guitar, James Squires on drums, and a handful of rotating musicians, Dead End Friend made their debut three years ago at EMP’s Sound-Off Competition. Since then they have played all over Seattle, from the Tractor Tavern to the Crocodile, and have released a video for their heavy single “Piece of the Pie.” Kyle Fleck of The Stranger hails them as “a heavy yet harmonious combination of blues and classic rock” and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam calls their sound “fucking awesome!” Don’t miss their new single "Take It Easy"! Forged in the damp underground of Seattle, Dead End Friend has created a unique and heavy blend of rumbling blues and cascading rock.
